This was often what I did all year long... But not as much time on the phone. Outside of tax season it was more of 60/35/5 but life still sucked.
And yes, I hid... When it slowed down i'd disappear for a few minutes... We didn't get "Breaks" and my lunch break was 5 minutes of scarfing down food and running mutts out. So me disappearing for 2-3 minutes every now and then to breath was perfectly fair... Especially when I needed to be chipper and happy for clients that were probably going to yell at me. Outside of tax season it wasn't as stressful so I didn't need to hide near as much though.
